The school’s house system was set up in 2005 with sponsorship from Caledonian MacBrayne Ltd. Pupils voted that the four houses [COLUMBA, SEAFORTH, SUILVEN and CLAYMORE] were to be named after passenger vessels which served the Western Isles.
Mr Iain McRorie, Cal Mac Historian, presented the school with framed photographs of the ships and gave an excellent lecture on the history of the company.
The house system is used to promote competition and peer support in a wide range of sporting, musical, academic and recreational activities.
