Sgoil Araich Loch a Tuath (Nursery)
The Gaelic nursery, Sgoil Àraich Loch a Tuath, is located within the school grounds and has three staff member: Playleader Christine Martin and Play Assistants Maureen Campbell and Angie McMurdo. Sessions run daily from Monday to Friday, 9am to 12pm. Links with the school are strengthened through weekly- use of the gym, visits by the Gaelic singing Instructor to the nursery and visits by nursery staff to the Gaelic infant class for team-teaching. Sgoil Araich pupils also enjoy the use of extensive school playing fields and tarmac areas to develop tricycle and other outdoor skills.

Pupils learn through play, planned in collaboration with the infant department. Projects focus on specific Curriculum for Excellence Learning Outcomes and the key language terms being learned are shared with parents to enable them to support and reinforce the learning at home. Daily structured activities include: use of ICT; writing and drawing table; painting; jigsaws; dressing up; building structures and other creative tasks. A healthy snack is provided mid-morning.
